Purpose |
There is often a need to apply additional loads to trusses. These loads might come from walls or sprinkler lines, for example. When trusses are loaded individually, it's easy to make mistakes, and some loads may not be in the correct location or have the correct magnitude. Applying load via a line provides the ability to draw a line and apply a load to it; then, all of the trusses it touches will have an accurate load at the correct location. You can turn Load Line visibility on or off in the Layers and Filters menus. |
Steps
|
The first end of the load line is locked at the first point. (The other end of the line moves around as you move the cursor). The following prompt displays:
The Component Loading window displays. The Distributed Load window displays.
The Component Loading window displays.
The load is applied to the line and is transferred to the trusses that it crosses. The load is applied to the trusses as a point load. .
